The Hancock Chamber of Commerce is launching a new networking group for Young Professionals (HYP). The kick off event is Thursday, April 6th from 5-7pm at Trapani’s Eatery on the Beach in Bay St. Louis. Chaired by Mary Wilson Cowand of Keesler Federal Credit Union and Bailey Braswell of Edward Jones Investment Services, membership is open to anyone 40 and under (or the young at heart).
“There are so many young professionals who live in Hancock County now, and they are looking for a way to connect,” said Mary Cowand. “Through the HYP, we are going to give them this opportunity,” she said.
Bailey Braswell said anyone who is interested in being a part of this networking group should attend the kick off event, find out what it is all about and consider joining as a member.
“Membership is open to anyone who wants to participate,” he said. The annual fee to join is only $75 and it will feature four major networking events. The next events will be on July 13, September 28th (at Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company) and on December 7th. Already, the group has three sponsors: Southgroup Insurance Services, Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company and Keesler Federal Credit Union.
