Hancock Co., Miss. Mar. 28, 2024 – The Hancock Chamber of Commerce has launched a $75,000 small business grant program. The grant program is made possible through a donation from Mississippi Power Foundation, managed through the Hancock County Community Development Foundation.  Up to 15 small businesses will be awarded grants of up to $5,000 each. The application is open to all member businesses of the Hancock Chamber that have been in business for a minimum of three years and meet other criteria established by the Foundation and Chamber boards. The deadline to apply is April 15th.

The grant application can be found online by clicking here.  Applicants must provide information on how the funds will be used to increase business exposure, increase business capacity, and positively impact Hancock County.

Nationally and locally, small businesses face many challenges and risks, playing a crucial role in driving economic growth by creating jobs and boosting tax revenue. “This grant program is another example of how the Chamber and Foundation leadership are supporting small businesses to improve the local economy,” said Tish Williams, executive director.

Recipients of the grant will be announced at the Hancock Chamber Midyear Meeting and State of the County Address on Thursday, May 16th at Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast.  To register for this event, go to at http://hancockchamber.org
