The Hancock Chamber of Commerce Education Committee is proud to host the annual Senior Appreciation Breakfast on Thursday, April 25, 2025, at the Bay St. Louis Community Center. This special event celebrates the achievements of Hancock County’s graduating high school seniors as they embark on their next chapter in higher education, the military, and career technical fields.

The event will recognize 500 graduating seniors from Hancock High School, Bay High School, St. Stanislaus, and Our Lady Academy. The morning will feature inspiring speakers who will encourage students to take the next step in their career pathways and become engaged citizens. As part of the program, seniors will also be encouraged to register to vote, empowering them to exercise their constitutional right.

Each year, this event is made possible through the generous support of local businesses and community members. The Hancock Chamber invites sponsors to contribute to this impactful initiative with a $500 tax-deductible donation through the Hancock County Community Development Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity. These contributions help ensure a meaningful and memorable experience for the students as they transition into the next phase of their lives. Those supporting this event will also give the Education Committee the opportunity to present four $500 scholarships to one deserving senior at each High School during their graduation ceremonies.

“We are so grateful to our community for supporting this initiative year after year,” said Tish Williams, Hancock Chamber Executive Director. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to recognize our young citizens and provide them with motivation and resources for their future. We thank our Education Committee, especially Chairman Dr. Raymunda Barnes of Pearl River Community College, for leading this event for our graduates.”
