The Hancock Health Foundation has made a meaningful contribution to support children in Hancock County. Board members recently presented a $500 donation to Judge Trent Favre to enhance the “Book Nook” at the Hancock County Youth Court.

The Book Nook, originally established by the Rotary Club of Bay St. Louis, serves as a safe and welcoming space for children while they are at court, offering them comfort, books, and a sense of calm during what can often be stressful circumstances.

“This donation will help us continue to build a safe haven for kids, giving them a place to feel supported and encouraged,” said Judge Favre.

The Hancock Health Foundation, which is committed to improving the well-being of local residents, emphasized that this gift reflects its mission to invest in community initiatives that make a difference. By supporting the Book Nook, the Foundation helps ensure that children have access not only to reading materials but also to a nurturing environment during their time at Youth Court.
