Chamber Committees

To assist with Membership Meetings, Ribbon Cuttings, Business After Hours, New Member Recruitment, and Member Relations.

To promote anti-litter campaigns and beautification awards.

To review the governing policies of the organization. Meetings held as needed as called by the Chairman.

To coordinate interaction with other business-related organizations and government to foster teamwork and positive outcomes on community issues;  and, to provide technical assistance to fuel small businesses to recover, expand and hire more workers.

To focus on issues affecting educational outcomes in Hancock County, community education, and community college academic programs.

To provide financial oversight and to conduct monthly reviews of Chamber financial statements and records; and, to make financial investment recommendations to the board.

To coordinate interaction with local, state and federal officials to foster positive outcomes on community issues.

To promote enhancement of natural resources, uniform codes and ordinances, improved sidewalks, streets, paths and drainage, uniform gateways.

To promote member businesses through marketing programs;  and, to enhance member services through marketing, communications and technology.

Continue to consider how to engage past presidents; make use of their valuable insights in an advisory capacity; keep their support in the community as Chamber advocates.

To provide input to staff for the “Marketing the Message” Public Relations Campaign and to provide input to the education committee on how to communicate assets of the schools to facilitate newcomers to select Hancock as the community of choice.
