The Hancock Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the nominees for the 2025 Nonprofit of the Year Award, recognizing the extraordinary work of local organizations that make a lasting impact in our community.
“Being nominated for this award is a meaningful honor,” said Tish Williams, Executive Director of the Hancock Chamber. “These organizations exemplify service, dedication, and positive change in Hancock County. It is our privilege to celebrate their invaluable contributions.”

The 2025 nominees are:

• Diamondhead School of Fine Arts
Offering exceptional arts education, the school fosters an appreciation for the fine arts throughout the community and beyond.
Diamondhead Women’s Club
Dedicated to civic, social, and moral advancement, this club empowers community involvement through volunteerism and support for local causes.
Excel by 5
Focused on early childhood development, Excel by 5 emphasizes the crucial role of parents and educators in a child’s formative years—birth through age five.
Hancock Health Foundation
Advancing healthcare and wellness in Hancock County, the foundation provides scholarships, awards, and programs tailored to evolving community health needs.
Hancock Resource Center
Working to stabilize families and strengthen neighborhoods, the center addresses housing challenges and coordinates vital support services.
Hope Haven Children’s Advocacy Center
Offering a safe, supportive space, Hope Haven helps child abuse victims begin the healing process through compassionate care and advocacy.
Junior Auxiliary of Hancock County
Through service-driven projects, the Junior Auxiliary equips its members to meet the needs of local children and families across the region.
One of these remarkable organizations will be selected by the Hancock Chamber membership as the 2025 Nonprofit of the Year. The winner will be celebrated at the Annual Awards Gala – Salute to Business & Industry, held Thursday, August 28 at 5:30 p.m. at Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast. Often referred to as the “Academy Awards of Hancock County,” the gala will feature a red carpet, Oscar-inspired décor, and a celebration befitting the 100th anniversary of the Hancock Chamber’s founding by the Bay St. Louis Rotary. It promises to be an unforgettable evening of recognition and community pride.
Additional award categories, including the Top Ten Outstanding Citizens, will be announced soon.
