Hancock Chamber Announces Top Ten Outstanding Citizens

The Hancock Chamber of Commerce has announced the 2025 Top Ten Outstanding Citizens for Hancock County.

“Being selected from a field of 23 nominees is indeed an honor that is well deserved for these outstanding citizens,” said Tish Willams, executive director of the Hancock Chamber. “It is our honor to recognize the remarkable impact and dedication of they have made on our community.”

From this list of outstanding citizens, one will be elected by members of the Hancock Chamber as Citizen of the Year. Last year, John Bredeka, Executive Director of the Hancock County Library System was elected Citizen of the Year.

The Top Ten Outstanding Citizens for 2025 are:

All will be recognized during the 2025 Annual Awards Gala-Salute to Business & Industry on Thursday, August 28th at 5:30pm at Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast. Known as the Academy Awards of Hancock County, the Chamber will literally roll out the red carpet to recognize all the award recipients who will be honored that evening. The Casino ballroom will be adorned in red and gold with Oscar décor in place for an evening like no other to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the Hancock Chamber by the Bay St. Louis Rotary. Foret Tradition will be the featured entertainment for a night of dining and dancing to celebrate this historic year. Stay tuned for more announcements coming: Citizen of the Century, Business of the Century, Industry of the Century and Nonprofit of the Century. The Hancock County Port & Harbor Commission will also announce the Industry of the Year.

Early registration is strongly encouraged, as the event traditionally sells out. Both seating and sponsorship opportunities are available at hancockchamber.org
