Hancock Health Foundation Brings Laughter and Community Spirit with September Fundraisers
The Hancock Health Foundation is inviting the community to come together for two unique fundraising events this September, blending comedy and camaraderie with the important mission of supporting local healthcare needs.
Comedy for a Cause – “Laughter is the Best Medicine”
On Wednesday, September 24, from 6 to 9 p.m., the Court Street Community Center in Bay St. Louis will host “Laughter is the Best Medicine,” a night of stand-up comedy benefiting the Hancock Health Foundation.
For just $50 per person, guests will enjoy live performances from comedians Jennifer Turbo, JQ Palms, and Nidia Morales, with Christian Duhe, Ed.D., President & Executive Director of the Gulf Coast Community Foundation, serving as emcee. Tickets include light hors d’oeuvres, complimentary soda and water, and access to a cash bar with wine and beer available by donation.
Proceeds from the evening will directly support the Foundation’s healthcare initiatives across Hancock County. Registration is available online at HHFMS.org.

Bowling for Better Health – “Great Balls of Fire”
Just days before the comedy show, the Foundation will host a spirited bowling fundraiser, “Great Balls of Fire,” on Saturday, September 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Park Ten Lanes, located at 4393 Park Ten Drive in Diamondhead.
This charity tournament invites teams and individuals to bowl for a cause, with proceeds once again benefiting the Hancock Health Foundation. Registration can be completed online at HHFMS.org.
The Foundation notes that every donation and ticket purchase helps ensure that Hancock County residents have access to essential healthcare resources. From providing life-saving equipment to local hospitals, to funding nutritious meals for vulnerable citizens, and sponsoring mammograms for uninsured women, the Foundation affirms: “There is no need too great or small.”
