Mississippi Power Area Manager TJ Pruitt, on behalf of the Mississippi Power Foundation, recently presented a $50,000 donation to the Hancock County Community Development Foundation to support small business efforts across Hancock County. The contribution reflects Mississippi Power’s century-long commitment to strengthening local communities. The funding will be administered by the Hancock Chamber of Commerce on behalf of the Foundation. These efforts are intended to encourage small business growth and promote long-term economic development throughout the county.

“Mississippi Power understands the value that small businesses bring to a community, so we’re happy to support these entrepreneurs in partnership with the Hancock Chamber of Commerce and the Hancock County Community Development Foundation,” said Pruitt. “Hancock County is thriving, and we hope to see continued growth and success in our business community with these investments.”

The Hancock County Community Development Foundation supports initiatives that strengthen the local economy and improve quality of life through strategic investment in programs that encourage opportunity, resilience, and long-term community prosperity.

The Hancock Chamber of Commerce, which will administer the funding on behalf of the Foundation, works year-round to support local businesses through promotion, business development resources, networking opportunities, and partnerships that help entrepreneurs and employers succeed.
