The Hancock Chamber recently hosted its Power Hour Coffee Call on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the Magnolia Ballroom at Magnolia Marketplace in Waveland.

The session focused on “What You Need to Know About the Big Beautiful Bill and How It Will Affect You as an Individual Taxpayer and Business Owner,” offering timely insight into how recent tax legislation may impact both personal finances and business operations. As with every Power Hour, the discussion was highly conversational, encouraging open dialogue and participant questions rather than a formal presentation. The relaxed format allowed attendees to engage directly and gain practical takeaways they can apply right away.

Featured speakers included Greg Fairey, CPA, with TMH CPAs, and Ben Young, CPA, with AVL. Fairey also steps into his new role as Treasurer for the Hancock Chamber of Commerce, succeeding Rea Montjoy following 20 years of service.

The Power Hour series is sponsored and presented by Ted Longo of The Longo Group, in partnership with Pearl River Community College. Additional support was provided by Hancock Whitney, Hancock County, Silver Slipper Casino, Chiniche Engineering, Mississippi Power, Coast Electric, and Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast. The event provided a welcoming setting for meaningful discussion, professional insight, and networking over coffee. To learn more about upcoming Power Hour events, visit hancockchamber.org.
